This list is for anyone staring at a boring flat door wondering if it can look better. Renters, first time homeowners, busy people who want one weekend project; this one’s for all of you.

Doors get skipped in most design plans and that always seemed backwards to me. It’s the first thing guests touch before they even step inside!

So I went through hundreds of pins looking for ideas that actually work in real homes, not just showroom photos. I kept the ones that are budget friendly. Or at least realistic for a normal weekend.

Some of these are full builds. Others are small swaps you could finish before lunch.

Since doors aren’t the only thing people want to redo this year, I threw in a few extra rooms too. Closets, walls, even the fence out front all get a moment here. Who says a listicle about doors can’t wander a little?
